These terms govern your use of heartlandlocksmith.com and any call or web-form request directed through Heartland Locksmith & Garage Door (“Heartland”). By using the site or submitting a request, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or submit information.
1. Heartland’s role
Heartland is a marketing and service-request referral brand. It is not the incorporated locksmith or garage door contractor that performs field work. Heartland may transmit your request to an independent contractor that may be available in the Wichita-area market. Submission does not guarantee that a contractor will accept, respond to or complete the request.
2. Independent contractor relationship
Any contractor who contacts you is an independent business, not an employee, partner, agent or franchisee of Heartland. The contractor is responsible for confirming its identity, licensing or registration where applicable, insurance, availability, diagnosis, estimate, scope, materials, permits, work, safety, payment, receipts, taxes and post-service support. Your agreement for field service is directly with that contractor.
3. Your authorization and responsibilities
You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to request access to or work on the property, door, lock, vehicle or garage door. A contractor may require government-issued identification, proof of ownership, a lease, registration, written authorization or other evidence before entry or work. You agree to provide accurate request details, disclose known hazards and avoid directing work that would violate law or another person’s rights.
4. Estimates, prices and payment
Website content, coupons and telephone discussions are not a final estimate unless a contractor expressly confirms otherwise in writing. The independent contractor determines diagnostic charges, service-call charges, labor, parts, taxes, after-hours charges and the final price. Ask for and approve the contractor’s estimate before work begins. Payment is made under the contractor’s terms; Heartland does not currently collect field-service payment through this website.
5. Arrival and emergency timing
Contractors may attempt to respond promptly, and some emergency requests may typically receive a response or estimated arrival within about one hour. This is an estimate, not a promise or guarantee. Timing may change because of contractor availability, location, traffic, weather, service volume, job complexity, parts, communications or operational issues. For fire, medical danger, a person or animal trapped in immediate danger, a crime in progress, or another life-safety emergency, call 911 or the appropriate public authority first.
6. Ninety-day contractor warranty
A participating contractor may offer a 90-day workmanship warranty on qualifying completed work. The contractor—not Heartland—issues, administers and is responsible for that warranty. Coverage, start date, exclusions, parts, manufacturer warranties, transferability and available remedies depend on the contractor’s written invoice or warranty terms. Obtain those terms before authorizing work and keep your receipt. Misuse, unauthorized alteration, unrelated component failure, normal wear, accidental damage and customer-supplied parts may be excluded.
7. Coupons and promotions
Promotions are subject to the stated qualification, expiration and redemption terms, contractor participation and availability. Unless stated otherwise, offers cannot be combined, have no cash value and must be mentioned before the estimate is approved. A contractor must confirm whether an offer applies to the requested work.
8. Website information
Articles, FAQs, checklists and service descriptions are general information, not a diagnosis, estimate, safety instruction, legal opinion or substitute for inspection by a qualified professional. Conditions vary by property, door, vehicle, equipment and applicable code. Do not disassemble springs, cables, energized openers or other hazardous equipment based solely on website content.
9. Acceptable use
You may not use the site to request unauthorized entry, facilitate unlawful activity, impersonate another person, submit malicious code, overwhelm the service, scrape protected information or interfere with website operation. Heartland may decline, block or retain evidence of abusive or suspicious requests.
10. No guaranteed outcome
Heartland does not guarantee contractor availability, response time, compatibility, repairability, price, parts, workmanship or outcome. To the extent permitted by law, Heartland is not responsible for an independent contractor’s acts, omissions, statements, estimates, work, property damage, injury, delay, warranty or dispute. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Intellectual property
The site’s original text, design, graphics, logos and code are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Limited personal use of the site is permitted. Republishing, selling or systematically copying site content requires written permission, except where law allows otherwise.
12. Changes and severability
Heartland may update the website and these terms. The effective date identifies the current version. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
